Allison Gadlin
Allison Gadlin has been an educational consultant with AUSSIE since 2003. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science in Education degree from Bank Street College in Manhattan. She was a primary teacher at the Roosevelt Island Day Nursery as well as a former New York City elementary teacher, where she developed original genre-based units of study. Allison is an adjunct instructor in the graduate school at the College of New Rochelle and is proficient in Portuguese!
In her consultancy, Allison provides needs-based model for effective teaching practices in all areas of balanced literacy. Allison is able to demonstrate, coach and plan with her teachers in order to create, implement and polish thier strategies.
