Brian Green

Brian Green has been teaching in Australian schools for over 20 years. His experiences range from early childhood education to working in High Schools throughout the state of Victoria. He has been the leader of curriculum reform in many Victorian schools culminating in his appointment as a Middle Years Curriculum consultant working with 65 schools before moving to the United States.

In his consultancy work in Australia, Brian has concentrated heavily on engagement strategies and differentiated curriculum, especially on the areas of Literacy, Higher Order Thinking and Multiple Intelligences. This has led him to present a number of papers based on his work at University Seminars throughout the country. Brian has also been heavily involved in teacher training, lecturing for two years at Charles Sturt University to students in their 3rd and 4th year Bachelor of Education degree. Since coming to New York in 2001, Brian has worked in a range of settings across the Bronx specializing in Literacy development in Elementary and Middle Schools. His work is based around a "hands on" teaching approach providing teachers with models and daily routines that provide not only good teaching practice but also an engaging literacy structure for all students.

Brian has presented at over 150 workshops in NYC and surrounding areas, the National Principals Conference in Las Vegas and annually at the Maryland Assessment Conference. For the last three years Brian has been leading Literacy Coach professional development in Region 2 in the Bronx, and is now working as a presenter for the Leadership Learning Support Organization.
