Christine Botheras

CHRISTINE BOTHERAS has been an outstanding and successful teacher for 27 years.  Her career has been conducted in both her native Australia for 20 years and in the USA where she holds accreditation of her education credentials and a current teacher license in Colorado.  Chris is dedicated to ongoing teacher development and has shown commitment to this as a Teacher Leader within schools, with 7 years as the supervisor of trainee teacher practice for The University of Melbourne School of Education, Curriculum Network Leader & Professional Development Consultant and provider for The Department of Education, Victoria, supporting teachers during major revised curriculum and assessment implementation.   She has been instrumental in school reform as a Master Teacher in the TAP (Milken Family Foundation) reform model in the USA, evaluating pedagogical and curriculum implementation and providing instructional leadership at the whole school level.
 
Chris came to AUSSIE in January 2007 as a Math Consultant and has worked in 11 schools in New York City for the Board of Education and the Board of Jewish Education.  Chris works with teachers from pre-school level to 8th grade.

At a professional level, Chris has been honored by her peers on five occasions and has published curriculum focusing on equal access curriculum and on ICT within content areas that she developed within schools, for The Department of Education, Victoria.  She has also consulted on inter-disciplinary e-curriculum through the SAS in Schools project, a division of SAS Institute North Carolina.
