AUSSIE

Christine Scafidi is an AUSSIE Mathematics Consultant with more than 30 years experience working as an educator.  Dr. Scafidi is a recognized facilitator of professional development workshops throughout New York and New Jersey specializing primarily in Elementary Education.  Her workshop presentations have focused on a broad spectrum of topics including Alternative Assessment, Thematic Curriculum Development, Balanced Mathematics, Constructivism in Math Education and Chicago Everyday Mathematics.  

Dr. Scafidi has presented at the Mathematical Association of Victoria Annual Conference in Melbourne, Australia and at numerous Regional and National Math Conferences in the United States.  Her educational publications to date include two Portfolio Assessment Kits for Steck-Vaughn Publications in the United States and Space & Beyond Using Mathomat Investigations for Objective Learning Material Publications in Australia.

Dr. Scafidi also enjoys a professional career as a freelance musician in New York City, most recently performing in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway.
