AUSSIE

Elliot Koreman has been an educator for over 35 years, as a classroom teacher, supervisor of literacy instruction for eight School Districts in New York City, Assistant Principal, Elementary School Principal in New York City District 2 and Principal in a large Westchester School District. Elliot has also presented workshops for principals in Westchester on Leading a Balanced Literacy Initiative.

In addition, Elliot is currently teaching Literacy courses at Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women. In that capacity, Elliot instructs pre-service teachers in various methodologies for teaching reading and writing to young children with an emphasis on Balanced Literacy. He is also the supervisor of their fieldwork and student teaching.

Elliot has been working with AUSSIE for six years as a Literacy Consultant and has also assisted the principals of those schools in preparing plans for change in curriculum and instruction.
