Frank Cunningham

FRANK CUNNINGHAM has been an AUSSIE consultant since August of 2007.  During this time he has worked with Primary Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools in New Jersey, Manhattan and in the Bronx.  From 2006 until July of 2007 Frank worked in a new private school, Cathedral College, where he was employed as the Mathematics Coordinator and the VCE (Senior School) Coordinator.  His main responsibilities as Math Coordinator was to write courses for all of the Senior Math Subjects.  As VCE Coordinator Frank was responsible for the entire curriculum delivery, for all year eleven and twelve students.  He was also responsible for the counseling process which included such things as course selection and timetabling.  He wrote the course information handbook and developed and implemented all the policy associated with senior school students and explained the programs and policies to the school community over a series of four information evenings.

From 1990 to 2005 Frank worked in one of the largest High Schools in Victoria where he held a number of positions of responsibility.  Frank was the Math Coordinator for two years, the Curriculum Coordinator for five years and the Senior School Coordinator for four years.  During this time in 1996 he received an International Teaching Fellowship to Phoenix Arizona where he taught a range of math classes including an International Baccalaureate Class to Senior Students at North Canyon High School.  

For the past twenty years Frank’s main work has been to conduct Professional Development Days for various departments as well as well as for the entire faculty in the Schools he has worked in.   He conducted Professional Development Days in the area of Mathematics and Technology which were attended by his own School and by a number of other Schools within the District.

During the past two years his main focus in Schools has been with data analysis, and working with teachers to use this information to inform instruction and bridge the gaps in students’ understanding of content.  He has also worked extensively with a number of Schools to help prepare them for their Quality Reviews.
