John Farvis
John Farvis comes to the United States from the position of Assistant Principal in an Australian High School. He has a background in school administration and for the four years prior to his arrival has also lectured in Professional Studies at Queensland University of Technology to graduate students entering the teaching profession.
In 2004, Mr. Farvis joined AUSSIE, Inc., a leading provider of customized professional development services for K-12 schools in the US and abroad, as an active consultant. Mr. Farvis has worked as a literacy consultant to school districts in New York City, Jersey City and Westchester.
John has a background in curriculum planning having been a member of the National Guidance Curriculum Committee for Papua New Guinea and continuing work on innovative curriculum planning in Australia. This range of experience enables John to apply a diverse range of qualifications and practical expertise to his work as a literacy consultant. John lives with his family in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
