Simone Bingham
SIMONE BINGHAM is an experienced teacher of mathematics who has taught the entire spectrum K-12 in both her native Australia and the American school system. Consequently she has acquired a wealth of knowledge on student learning in varying school systems, teaching pedagogy and curriculum.Ms. Bingham taught middle school mathematics in North Carolina, elementary, middle and high school mathematics in New Jersey, and has consulted as a mathematics staff developer and school reform specialist in New Jersey and New York City public schools. Several years of volunteer work with the Global Literacy Project has resulted in thousands of school children benefiting from her ongoing commitment, support and guidance to teachers, school districts and communities throughout various pockets in Africa and the Caribbean. These humanitarian pursuits have better enabled her to identify and prescribe necessary reforms, often with very limited resources, in the hope of improving student performance and providing community uplift.
Prior to her consultancy work in New York City, Ms. Bingham served as an educational and cultural ambassador to the United States on behalf of the Visiting International Faculty program. This demonstrates her ability to adapt to a myriad of demographics and respond to student, teacher and community needs with diplomacy and dedication. In recent years she complemented this practical experience with successful completion of a Masters Degree in Professional Studies, specializing in Peace Studies, Education and Development.
