evaluate and create messages in a variety of forms — from print to video to the Internet.

How do we bring about change that transforms the way students think and learn? Research indicates that, when students take ownership of and engage in authentic learning experiences, academic achievement increases.

What does it look like when technology positively impacts the daily practice of a learning community? Some schools have shifted their thinking to transform best practices, utilize project-based learning activities, and implement school communication initiatives that involve blogging, wikis, and social networking tools.
During this hands-on workshop participants will explore:

CREATING A CULTURE FOR LEARNING INNOVATION USING WEB 2.0 COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION TOOLS

How can you move forward as an effective 21st century learning community? Create a whole-school innovation plan that involves teachers, administrators, and students and is developed around curriculum goals, improvement initiatives, and technology objectives.

DIVERSE STRATEGIES FOR DIVERSE LEARNERS
The diversity in learners and learning styles is quite apparent in all classrooms. In this workshop you will be given ways to improve your school by supporting your staff in responding to learners needs and thereby to drive individual student growth and achievement. Take a proactive look at accommodating the learner to maximize growth through practical strategies that address the needs of Special Education, ELL’s, Striving Readers and high achieving students.
